Absences or Tardies
If your student will not be absent, coming late, or you need to pick them up early, please let us know.

Elementary Classes
Send your child with a healthy snack for the break that takes place between 10:20 – 10:40am.
We recommend that you write your child's name on any clothing, backpack or water bottle that they bring.
Middle School Food Service Program
We provide a healthy food program with a snack for break. Please bring a drink or water bottle. We recommend your child's name be written on their water bottle.
High School Course Credit Absence Policy
For any High School credit course, there is a maximum of two excused absences and no unexcused absences.
An Unexcused Tardy more than 30 minutes after class starts is considered a full absence.
All missed work must be completed & turned in to the teacher by the final course meeting in order to receive credit.
ESY - Extended School Year
ESY is offered to some Special Education students through their IEP. If your student qualifies for ESY, your case manager will let you know about options and opportunities. Please contact the Special Education Department for more information. Schoolmates - Piedmont Recreation Department
If you plan to drop your elementary student off before 8:45 and pick up after 12:15, you will need to arrange for supervision with Schoolmates. Schoolmates is open M-F 8:00am-6:00pm for care before and after PEF Summer Enrichment.
